The Risen King: Advancing the Kingdom Through the Victory of Christ
Resurrection is not only an event—it is the declaration that Jesus Christ reigns as King. Through His life, death and resurrection, the Kingdom of God was revealed with power, restoring humanity’s access to God and establishing victory over sin, death, and darkness.
This month we reflect on the journey to the cross, the triumph of the resurrection, and the Kingdom authority believers now carry because Christ lives.
Week 1: The King Is Revealed — Preparing the Way
Scriptures:
📖 Isaiah 9:6–7 (KJV) – “For unto us a child is born… the government shall be upon his shoulder… of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end.”
📖 Matthew 21:9 (KJV) – “Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.”
📖 Luke 17:21 (KJV) – “For, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”
Reflection:
Before the cross and the resurrection, Jesus was revealed as the promised King. When He entered Jerusalem, the people celebrated, declaring Him the Son of David—the long-awaited ruler of God’s Kingdom. Yet many expected a political kingdom rather than the spiritual reign Christ came to establish.
The Kingdom Jesus brought was deeper than outward rule. It begins in the heart and transforms lives from the inside out. His authority is not temporary or limited—it is eternal. Every step Jesus took toward the cross was part of God’s redemptive plan to restore humanity to His Kingdom.
As believers, we prepare our hearts the same way the people prepared the road for the King—through worship, surrender, and recognition of who He truly is.
💡 Reflect on the areas of your life where Christ desires to reign more fully. Invite Him to rule in your decisions, priorities, and daily walk.
