Watch Your Mouth – The Danger of Idle or Fear-Filled Words: Week 2
Scriptures:
📖 Job 3:25 (KJV), For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.
📖 Matthew 12:36-37 (KJV), 36. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
📖 Proverbs 30:32 (AMPC), If you have done foolishly in exalting yourself, or if you have thought evil, lay your hand upon your mouth.
Reflection:
Fear, doubt, and careless speech open doors the enemy loves to walk through. Job said, "The thing I feared has come upon me." Fear creates permission for what we never wanted. Likewise, when we exalt ourselves or speak evil, Scripture tells us to lay our hand over our mouth.
The tongue can bless or curse. It can heal or harm. Let us take inventory of our conversations and inner dialogue. Are they fueled by faith or fear?
💡 Fast from negative speech for 3 days. Replace every doubtful thought with a faith-filled declaration.
